A CHAMPION HAS PASSED BY!

JOHNNIE COCHRAN IS DEAD! What a tremendous blow to the African American community. This champion of rights to the down trodden and those often unable to be pay his extensive fees will be sorely missed. His theatrics and eloquence in a courtroom will never be seen in our time again. I do truly hope the up-and-comers that have been fortunate to study law and fortunate enough to see a Master at work, will benefit from his expertise and hopefully one day another true genius of law will be born to carry the torch of justice!

This great-grandson of slaves is a true testiment to what can be accomplished with a good education and the fortitude to be the best you can be!

just a note

Well, Sam and I are doing the bonding thing which isn't often with a 15 year old boy, who totally enjoys his buds and video games 5 times more than me! My son is out for spring break and today we did the "mommy and me" thing - hair, nails, feet, etc. This brother likes pedicures as much as I do, so he got his done, too! He is funny to watch as the pedicurist does his feet- he squirms and giggles coz it does really tickle. It tickles me, too, and it tickles me to watch him!

Tomorrow is GOOD FRIDAY -MY LORD AND SAVIOUR DIED FOR ME ON THIS HOLY OF HOLY DAYS! We (Sam and I) are going to the Phoenix zoo and just kick it! On Saturday, I am going to surprise him with a trip to spring training as the baseball season is in full swing here- the Arizona Diamonbacks and somebody -I really don't know who they are playing, but it's good bonding stuff, ya know?

My boy is growing into a young man and really we don't spend enough quality time together so I am gonna make this weekend before spring break is over a special one - FOR US BOTH! I hope he will have a good time with his old Mom - I think we need this time together.

Had a good day today - TOMORROW IS TRULY SPECIAL - SATURDAY WILL BE FUN AND SUNDAY - WELL..................

THE WAITING GAME IS OVER!

Well, the job I interviewed for went to my former supervisor. OK - am I down- umm, maybe a little but not overly. If I didn't get it I am glad she did. This little woman taught me just about everything I know regarding this postion, so in reality, it makes more sense to hire the tree and not the limb.

I have learned in life that what God has for you IT IS FOR YOU TO HAVE IT! I have learned to live inside HIS will for me and sometimes (no, always) it is much better in the long run. I have found throughout my life that MY FATHER is in control and I am the better for it!

I have also learned that I can be happy for someone else's success' without being unhappy ABOUT the results. NEXT TIME, Y'ALL..........................

I'M STILL HERE!

OK - so I shared some very personal information with someone I am very attracted to and I'm not sure if I did the right thing in admitting some things in my past that I am not really ashamed of, because my past has totally created my future. However, I don't always share these intimate details of my life but sometimes the truth about ones self can only be told one way - THE TRUTH - PERIOD!
I think we all have a past, and if the truth be told, we aren't always willing to expose the most horrific or the most intimate things with people we love or care about for fear of how it will be perceived. In all honesty, I am a better woman because of all I have gone through and will tell the whole entire world about where God has bought me from and the victory I live in everyday as the result of His love, forgiveness and mercy! If it had not been for the Lord on my side, where would I be - where would I be?
I AM PROUD TODAY OF MY YESTERDAYS, TODAYS AND TOMORROWS no matter what anyone may think about me.

THE WAITING GAME

WELL, FOLKS, I applied for a new position and the waiting game has truly begun. I feel like whatever happens I am grateful to have a job at all - so many people are out of work and to be gainfully employed - with not one but 2 jobs is a blessing from on high!

Working part time for my daughter's internet business is a challenge - answering emails and keeping current correspondence with people interested in her products. It is very easy since I have been doing it for almost 9 months now. Getting a new position would be a challenge but I would attack it like everything else in my life - WITH FERVER AND GOD!

I will keep you updated on my progress whatever the outcome!

MESSAGE FROM A BOTTLE

JUST WHAT IS REALLY GOIN' ON I'M NOT SURE, BUT MY WORLD SEEMS JUST A BIT BRIGHTER THESE DAYS. GRATEFULLY, MY DAUGHTER AND GRANDDAUGHTER ARE DOING SO MUCH BETTER. YAY!

Paris, is my eldest child and the mother of my FANTABULOUS grandchildren - HANNAH, ALEC MATHEW AND HOLLY! Holly was pretty sick over the weekend as 2 year olds get and the stomach virus sent them flying to the ER in Naperville, IL. Thanks to the Most Gracious Lord, she is doing so much better but her mom, my daughter, is a wreck. She suffers from heart defibrulations and I think Holly's illness totally set her off and sent her flying back to the ER for services. OK - so here I am 1800 miles away in Phoenix and my heart just cries out to hug and fix all the boo-boo's for both my girl's. But after having talked with my daughter regarding her health as well as the baby's, I am renewed in my faith that God is in the sickroom's around the world, and when Mom's (or Grandma's in my case) can't be there, HE IS ALWAYS THERE AND EVER IN THE BLESSING AND HEALING BUSINESS. THANK YOU, LORD!

Hey - Me again! I finally figured out how to speak"directly" into the BLOG voicemail -CHECK IT OUT! Today, being Saturday, the work has begun on getting my house in order. I recently moved to this "BLESING" and always there is much to do. Being a working woman for the STATE OF ARIZONA,the weekends is clean-up time, so, the journey of mopping, wiping, washing, etc. is on!!!!! Anyone have any ideas on cheap cleaning labor coz I HATE HOUSEWORK! I love my new place, though, and for the first time I have a wonderful wood burning fireplace in my livingroom. Talk about setting the mood- WOW! Just looking into the embers on a cool Phoenix evening rests my weariness into a dreamy state of bliss.Yes, right now the evenings are cool, but it won't be so for very much longer I know, so I am enjoying my fiery woodworks for as long as I can until next season. OK- the cleanup - YUCK!!!!! Hey,someone has to do it - WHY IS IT ALWAYS ME!!!!!!!! Getting into the groove of a newplace is exciting, and very hard work, but the payoff in the end is the glory of it all. Glad you stopped by to chat - welcome to visit anytime. BE BLESSED!
